South United is a multi-faceted company invested in developing sports in India. The management at South United has made it their mission to create a platform that brings quality training and guidance to every aspiring footballer. This involves the creation of a sustainable ecosystem for players, coaches, and sports professionals to grow and develop to the highest levels. The Ecosystem includes elements like the Football Club, Sports Schools, Sports Education, Sports Events and Infrastructure, and the Sports Foundation. Founded in 2012, South United Football Club is Bangalore’s first privately-owned professional Football Club. Since its inception, the team has played in the I-League 2nd Division, the BDFA Super Division, as well as the Puttaiah Memorial Cup. The Football Club has consciously been a young team that scouts only Indian talent. The Club has dedicated itself to the journey of carving pathways for youth in professional sports. As a part of this endeavour, South United is in the process of building a state-of-the-art Academy with special focus on nutrition, fitness, and well-rounded education. The main purpose of the Academy is to identify, develop, and retain talented young footballers to progress through the development phases of the Academy programme into the SUFC First Team squad. In order to maximize its reach, South United delivers programmes to schools and other institutions right from the grassroots level through South United Sports Schools.

The recent COVID-19 pandemic has redefined the new normal for everyone across the globe. There have been a lot of changes and guidelines laid down for frontline workers and people stepping out of their homes with SOPs for safety and sanitization, and much more. We have all come across at least one retailer selling masks either online or offline; nevertheless, our advice would be to purchase masks that protect you from germs and other contaminants in the air. An N95 Mask is one of the most well-known masks that has been the talk of the town and is what you must invest in while stepping out of the house into the bustling city, especially if you are to enter a red-zone area. While there may be many other questions in the minds of consumers, the one that is asked most frequently is, are N95 Masks reusable or washable? Read on to learn more about N95 Masks: N95 respirators have a specific type of covering used over the breathing passage that is designed to form a tight seal around the face of the person wearing it. The filter has the capacity to trap at least 95% of all particles. These respirators are also referred to as Disposable Filtering Face-piece respirators and are designed for single use. Should the mask become damaged, the person wearing it risks getting exposed to bacteria and viruses. In an ideal situation, the mask should be removed after a single use and properly disposed of, followed by thoroughly washing one’s hands. It is essential to prioritize the use of N95 Masks for frontline personnel who are at the highest risk of contracting or experiencing the complications of an infection. The need of the hour is for healthcare facilities to develop written procedures advising their staff to take the following steps when it comes to using N95 Masks: Discard N95 respirators contaminated with blood, respiratory, or nasal secretions, or other bodily fluids from patients. Discard N95 respirators following close contact with any patient co-infected with an infectious disease requiring contact precautions. Hang used respirators in a designated storage area or keep them in a clean, breathable container, such as a paper bag, between uses. To minimize potential cross-contamination, store respirators so that they do not touch each other, and the person using the respirator is clearly identified. Storage containers should be disposed of or cleaned regularly. Clean hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer before and after touching or adjusting the respirator. Avoid touching the inside of the respirator. Whereas the consumers should be careful NOT to: Soak N95 respirators in soapy water, as this can degrade the material, impacting its ability to properly filter smaller particulates from the air. Clean the respirator with alcohol or bleach, as this affects how efficiently the material filters. Avoid the use of alcohol-containing disinfectants, wipes, and hand sanitizer. Assume that the mask is clean after overnight storage at home. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) also has not approved any methods for decontaminating masks/respirators. In conclusion, N95 Masks should not be washed because that would disintegrate the filter of the mask. Taking the above precautions can prevent the spread of an infection to ourselves as well as to the people around us and prevent the depletion of supplies of masks during any pandemic.
